Revival hub
The hub of the revival kit is fitted with three brake discs, the compression of which can be adjusted via the adjusting wheel (located in the center of the spool in the photos).
A small pawl spring is also present, providing a pleasant sound when the brake is applied.
3 different coils
The reels are available in 3 versions, to cope with all fishing situations:
- coil #2/3, wide arbor, to accommodate a 2/3 or natural silk with minimum memory effect
- coil #4/5, with a capacity similar to that of an original Vivarelli reel
- TOC coil, ultra-wide arbor, designed for nylon.
One hub, many possibilities
The various REVIVAL coils can be interchanged on the same hub: the aim is to mount the hub on its Vivarelli and never remove it again.
This means you can use the same reel to fish with 4/5 line, 2/3 line or TOC.

As with our reels, Revival spools are made from machined and anodized aluminium.
They are available in 3 versions:
- coil #2/3
- coil #4/5
- TOC/Nymph coil
A crank handle can be mounted on each reel for easy retrieval."

I've had the ReVival Toc kit for 3 seasons now. The rivers I fish: Albarine and Basse Rivière d'Ain. It's a change from the Vivarelli. It's not the same reel. I use it for Spanish nymphing and line nymphing. Having a real drag that you can adjust live, and having a (balanced) crank on the spool means you can get out beautiful salmonids quickly, easily and confidently.
I recommend it with my eyes closed.
