Combat brake
The stacked disc material is an original PEUX formula. Even in very humid or rainy conditions, this combination offers wonderful sensations. The fluidity of rotation is appreciable at any setting.
How do you use it?
The drag is used for line retrieval in fighting situations. Very easy to adjust with the device shown in the photograph, it will prevent the fish from breaking the leaders and allow the angler to recover or maintain line tension.
The PEUX brake can be adjusted even during the fight, allowing the angler to fine-tune his settings in real time.
Anti-reverse
The anti-reverse function is easy to prime and de-prime, even while catching fish. Combined with the increased retrieve speed of PEUX reels, this function will help you avoid fatal drops in line tension involving loss of line control.
The selector (red in color) is placed in direct contact with one of the two gears that enable reduced retrieve. Once activated, the PEUX reel becomes anti-reverse, while having the "clutch" function activated: in other words, the fish can unwind line by spinning the reel, without the crank moving, which is a big advantage during an intense fight.
If the selector is set to green, anti-reverse is deactivated, allowing the coil and crank to rotate in both directions.
Wire block system
The system for attaching the leader tip (incorporated in the reel foot) is very practical in use.
Present throughout the SpeedLine range, the tip attachment system will enable you to resume fishing immediately, avoiding all kinds of known inconveniences.
Discreetly positioned between the reel foot and the reel frame, it is a popular feature with anglers.
Auxiliary brake
The auxiliary brake is a device that cancels the inertia force of the coil.
The auxiliary brake is a screw on the flywheel (pictured) which is in direct contact with one of the two gears used for geared recovery.
A key feature of PEUX reels is that, unlike traditional reels, with this type of brake you'll be able to take out the line even with the clutch locked.

Coil extraction system

Simply unclip the spool from its hub by exerting pressure on the spool with your fingers, from the inside out.
